On the Road with FFT - Nokia Sugar Bowl and BCS National Championship Game vs. Oklahoma
4 January 2004

On Sugar Bowl Eve Eve, the Fords geared up for the big game with a wonderful family dinner

All the peeps shoed too, there's Kevin and Kellye and Collin and Alli

And after dinner a very nice NOPD officer got a group photo. Fast-forward to gameday and Norisha enjoys the red beans and rice!

And then on to the Superdome, where FFT's own Alli Vallee got these exclusive field-level photos! There's the student section and Mike the Tiger!

There's JV warming up and the Tiger Band from up close!

Another shot of JV loosening up in the end zone and the front row of students cheering the Tigers on to victory.

Here's a front-row Tiger fan that's just too hot for his own good! And of course our favorite Sugar Bowl photographer!

Here the Tigers finish up their warmups and get ready to play some football

Flashback: 2nd quarter and the Tigers are driving after giving up the tying touchdown to the Sooners...here they go!

Chancellor Emmert starts making celebration preparations as the Tigers go into the 4th quarter up 21-7.

And the team and the students flash the 4th quarter sign one last time as they get ready for the final 15 minutes of the season!

Crunch time for the Tigers as they still up by 7 points with just under 3 minutes to play...and then the celebrating begins as the clock ticks down...

Donnie Jones and company line up to put the game away with an unfielded punt and the fans go wild in celebration (hey, is that FFT's Daniel on the front row?)

The students continue their celebration as the team and media rush the field for the award ceremony

There's fans and players and cheerleaders everywhere as the celebration continues before the ceremony

And then up to the stage, where Tiger seniors and key players take the side of Coach Saban for the award ceremony

There's Chad and Michael, Stephen and Rodney and Randall and of course Coach

And then finally Lynn Swann interviews Coach Saban, offering congratulations as the players pass around the crystal football

And then the chairman of the Nokia Sugar Bowl offers Coach Saban congratulations and awards the Tigers their 2nd Sugar Bowl Trophy in 3 years

Finally, game MVP JV (Justin Vincent, for those that haven't figured it out yet) and Matt Mauck get to chat with Lynn...

And amongst it all, Alli Vallee has an absolute blast!

Louisiana State University - 2003 National Champions! Could anything be sweeter?

The Tigers continue their celebrations on the stage and then head off for a night of exultation!

And Alli catches some Tiger fans celebrating on the Dome floor before snapping one last photo of the final score: LSU 21 - Oklahoma 14.

Later at the hotel, the Fords and Arbours regroup to celebrate as families

And congratulate the Tigers as they thank everyone for another great year of football and tailgating!
